The characteristic agriculture production –ginger has been planted in Funing county beside the No. 102 National Road for about 30 years. We have the skilled technological management on ginger planting. According to the organic vegetables planting standard, we fertilize the plants in technological way in the suitable time, thus the quality of the ginger are superior to those produced in other areas in China. In 2004, “Funing County Chenying plantation and development research Association of Ginger” was established, which was the first legal personality organization in our county. “Cuizhuang ”and “Chenying ”, tow of our registered ginger trademarks won the fame of product with superior quality at the province agricultural product fair. “Chenying” ginger was prized as “the famous agricultural product with fine quality” at the 8th Chinese agricultural product trade fair in Langfang. Besides, Cuizhuang village was selected as vegetable supply base for 2008 Olympic Games.
In 2006, the area of ginger planting spreads 18000 Chinese acre, and the average production per acre ranges from 3500 to 4000 kg with the highest up to 10000kg. It is estimated that the total production of the ginger this year is about 70000 tons.Funing deserves the fame of “township of ginger in Hebei”. |
